Parkend Railway Station. Then & now.

The chimney stack of the Parkend Iron Works that was demolished in 1908, looms over Parkend Station. The passengers patiently await the train on a sunny morning. They, like the chimney stack have long since reached their final destination.
The wonderfully restored station now stands in it's place, a credit to many years of hard work by Dean Forest Railways and their team of volunteers.
